That thread you linked was a compilation of all the threads one guy started about that actor.  Every post that guy made was about that actor and asking us what we thought.  Then there are these two posts about his video that seem very similar.  It seems like someone is being paid to spam forums about this guy but that doesn't make any sense.  Who would pay for something like that?

I've been looking into this, and it's very confusing and stupid.

This guy... he filmed this gay love video, but he's trying to use it as promotional material to be chosen as the actor for Captain America. That's... yeah, ok. And he also tosses a couple links to cancer sites in the video description, so when anyone calls him or whoever his dumb spamming buddies are on it, they can reply "HOW DARE YOU HE IS USING THIS VIDEO TO FIGHT CANCER".

This same type of thread is just repeated across all sorts of forums. The opening post with "OH GOD THIS BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES WHAT A BRAVE MAN HE IS SO GREAT" and then accusations that the native forum dwellers love cancer and hate Christmas when they call the video gay and lame.

I'm going to go ahead and ban crackpothottie and go through and actually remove every link to this crap that's ever been posted here. Fuck you for trying to play on people's sympathies with the cancer thing so they'll allow you to spam this bullshit. Goddamnit, just... fuck you.

But I never saw the videos!  Now I'll never be cured of cancer!

The thing is, if they'd just posted a link to a thing saying, "We're raising money for cancer, click here to donate!" they probably could have gotten some money from us.

I'm still not sure exactly what their gameplan is, but I really don't believe they care about cancer.

Here, and in the other forum threads I've seen, no one mentions cancer until someone calls the video a pile of shit.
